Well. One of my highlights from the MBI conference was getting to meet you and take your fabulous junk-food-mandala workshop. Who knew I was going to have so much fun creating a full plate (with JOY) and understanding later what all it meant.

As I read the message here it is almost line by line the very story that I sent to you. Except the butt cheek message to the bather. We didn't get that party. This brings me even more comfort. To be assured now, again, that I didn't "do anything" to cause that battle my step-father had before he found his peaceful way to cross that bridge. Wow. I love this. While I felt this was true, the reminder feels good nonetheless.

The mandala I found in your workshop went beyond grief, to help me find something about my Big Self. You are truly doing your best work. How lovely. So glad to have overlapped with you and I'm truly grateful to have basked in your wisdom.

Thanks Martha. Nobody really talks about what it is like to attend at a deathbed. It can be scary if you don't know what is "normal". I love that you mentioned visions and hallucinations, and also the process of leaving and coming back and then leaving the body over and over again. So true and lovely and mysterious.

Beautiful and heart-breaking don't seem like they should go together sometimes but they do. Thanks for connecting, Laura.
